Selena Gomez wants a funny man

Selena Gomez is not in a rush to be in a relationship. In fact, the Rare singer is totally cool with being single because she can do a lot of things or whatever she wants. And she is enjoying it.

“I am single – and I’m totally cool with that. There are a lot of positives to being single and it’s about enjoying them when you’re in that stage of life,” she said per The Roanoke Times.

For men out there who wanted to win Gomez’s heart, the Wolves’ hitmaker said she wanted a man with sense of humor.

“Funny does it for me – you just have to be funny. While I like a guy who is confident in himself, I really dislike arrogance,” Gomez added.

Gomez not into dating apps.

Selena Gomez is apparently enjoying her single status. In fact, she is not in a rush to find new love and even rules out the idea of turning to dating apps.

“I’m sure [Raya] works for some people but I can’t see that happening,” Gomez said.

“It’s not just relationships, but any part of your life that is private you don’t want in the public eye. “But like it or not, it’s something you kind of have to get used to.”

Gomez added that it’s hard to date under the spotlight, but she has gotten used to it.

Selena speaks about her mental health

Selena Gomez has been open about her battle with depression. In the same interview, she once again talked about mental health, how to take care of one’s thoughts and what solution worked for her.

“Taking care of your mental health is an ongoing process – it’s something I’m constantly doing,” Gomez said.

“Therapy really worked for me. There’s medication, taking yourself away from negative people, taking a break from social media – all these things can help.”

Earlier this month, Gomez told Dr. Viviek Murthy in a video that she went into a bit of depression during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. She struggled because she used to travel a lot and was uncomfortable being stuck at home.
