Sergey Grishin’s former estate in Montecito, Santa Barbara made headlines after it was reported that the new homeowners are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Shortly after Grishin’s estate became a hot topic, his ex-wife came forward and made allegations against him and their relationship.
At the beginning of July, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to their new home in Santa Barbara after months of staying at Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex purchased Sergey Grishin’s former mansion in Montecito.
The royal couple bought the 18,671-square-foot home, which sits on over seven acres of land for $14.65 million. The estate has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, Observer reported.
It also includes a library, office, gym, home theater, game room, and an arcade. Moreover, it has a spa with separate dry and wet saunas and a large wine cellar.
The massive backyard is complete with amenities, including a tennis court, tea house, children’s cottage, and a luxurious pool. There is also a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guesthouse, which is perfect when the Sussexes’ friends come over to visit them.
The place is very private and secure. It is situated in “one of the safest and most family-friendly communities,” according to Cristal Clarke, a luxury property specialist.
“The community of Montecito itself is nature-like with its abundance of majestic, mature trees and lush public and private landscaping,” Clarke told Us Weekly.
“Its location, nestled against the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, provides convenient access to numerous hiking trails. There are private equestrian boarding and riding facilities nearby as well, and pristine beaches are mere minutes away.”
Following the purchase, Sergey Grishin’s ex-wife Anna Fedoseeva stepped forward and claimed that the Sussexes’ advisors lack due diligence for buying the property from her ex-husband.
In an interview with The Sun, Fedoseeva alleged that Grishin was a dangerous man who threatened her and her family.
Sergey Grishin denied all the allegations from his ex-wife. He issued a statement to clear his name from Fedoseeva’s accusations through his lawyer, Amman Khan.
“Numerous false, defamatory and entirely unproven allegations against Sergery Grishin have been made and widely published without a shred of corroboration and by sources whose credibility is seriously in doubt,” Khan said in a statement sent to Micky.
“Mr. Grishin unequivocally denies harming or threatening to harm anyone, he did not conduct a huge fraud or was involved in money laundering. Rather, Mr. Grishin is the victim of a scam marriage and a calculated scheme to defraud him, which now includes the use of the media to propagate false accusations against him in the hopes of pressuring him into a settlement to which his ex-wife is not entitled,” the letter continued.
“It is unfortunate that false allegations made in a divorce case have now been raised because of a high-profile estate transaction. He denies each of the lurid and sensational claims made against him. He has never been charged with any crimes because he has not violated the law.”
