Since their debut in 2015, K-pop trio Seventeen has continued to establish its supremacy with back-to-back chart-topping singles.
Seventeen has grown organically throughout their career. They were recently revealed as the second group with the highest charted statistics for physical sales in the year 2021, according to Hanteo charts. Seventeen was rated top in the same list in 2020.
Additionally, Seventeen is now starring in JTBC’s reality program In The Soop, in which the group lives amid a forest that seems to be halfway between reality and leisure.
Six episodes have been published so far; the last two will be aired on September 19 and September 28 on Weverse.
Seventeen receives a cultural honor
Seventeen was named the recipient of the Hallyu Culture Award at the 2021 Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Awards for their contribution to the K-pop industry.

Seventeen demonstrates their cultural impact as K-pop singers by receiving this award. Hallyu is a Chinese word that translates as Korean Wave.
This phrase generally refers to the fantastic development of Korean culture and popular culture, which encompasses everything from music to film and television to online gaming and Korean food, to mention a few.
Seventeen expresses their appreciation for the privilege of winning such a significant award.
Additionally, they said that they would continue to promote Hallyu in the future and aim to positively affect a large number of people, including their fans, for the Hallyu to flourish even more.
Carats are in for a two-day treat
Seventeen’s June release, Your Choice, sold over a million copies, giving them a four-time million-seller.
Other news sources regarding Seventeen’s upcoming activities indicate that their continuing reality program, Going Seventeen, will be published on their official YouTube account on September 18 at 12 p.m. KST (11 a.m. ET).
Additionally, Seventeen will host an online concert including a re-airing of their 2017 World Tour named Diamond Edge in Seoul, South Korea, their 2018 World Tour titled Ideal Cut in Seoul, South Korea, and their 2017 World Tour titled Ode To You in Seoul, South Korea.
On September 19 at 7 p.m. KST, these concerts will begin streaming on Seventeen’s official YouTube account (6 am ET).
