On October 16, the upcoming EP of SEVENTEEN, Semicolon, has surpassed 1.1 million stock preorders.
The group’s recent achievement adds to their previous 1 million stock preorders, making it their second time to achieve the mark. Their album Heng:garæ last summer surpassed 1.06 million stock preorders.
The amount of album stock produced before the album’s release is the number of stock preorders. The said number is the estimated demand calculated based on various factors. This includes the number of albums preordered by fans.
Heng:garæ, with its impressive first-week sales, went on to earn the group the title of “million sellers.”
The group will be making the title of “double million sellers” if Semicolon matches or surpasses that record for selling a million copies of two albums in a single year.
The order became evident by analyzing the group’s consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, and community indexes of various boy groups. This is through the use of the data collected by the institute from September 9 to October 9.
SEVENTEEN achieved the brand reputation index of 2,210,646 for the month, which marked a 3.51 percent rise in their score since September.
The rookie boy group followed BTS at the No. 1 spot for the 29th consecutive month with a brand reputation of 16,356,302 for October.
It also goes next with the 21-member boy group, NCT at No. 2, scoring a total index of 3,553,615 for the month with a remarkable rise of 93.57 percent.
On October 19, the group‘s album Semicolon and the music video for its title track HOME; RUN will be available.
