Shailene Woodley shared a glimpse of her future with Aaron Rodgers.
Things seem to have slowed down between Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers following their immediate engagement.
After dealing with weeks-old rumors about their relationship, Woodley and Rodgers surprised their fans when they got engaged. Despite popping the question in February, people will not hear them say “I do” anytime soon.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Woodley revealed that they are not in hurry to get married.
“There’s no wedding planning happening,” she clarified. “There’s no rush. We’ve got no rush.”
Instead of rushing things, the couple, reportedly, enjoys their time together as an engaged duo. As of now, they are currently busy with their activities.
The 29-year-old actress is busy as she joins the cast members of the new Netflix drama The Last Letter From Your Lover. She plays the role of Jennifer who has a love triangle between her husband Laurence (Joe Alwyn) and Anthony (Callum Turnery).
Meanwhile, Rodgers prepare for NFL’s season in September.
Woodley keeps herself busy
Apart from spending her time working, the actress revealed that she also started to write love letters.
According to Woodley, her character in the upcoming film inspired her to write letters.
“I love love. That’s how I got hooked. It was kind of hook, line and sinker,” she said, as quoted by Fox News. “I once sat somebody down and said, ‘I think that you’re my person,’ after not knowing this person and I think I terrified him so much. Maybe that was really way too far way too quick.”
The actress previously confirmed their engagement during her appearance in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Meanwhile, they surely do not share a perfect relationship after all.
Their love story began soon after Rodgers broke up with Danica Patrick. Meanwhile, Woodley dated Ben Volavola in 2017.
In July 2020, Terez Owens reported that Rodgers is dating the actress, suggesting that Woodley was involved with the NFL star and Patrick’s split.
Two months later, the athlete opened up about the increased love of life, stirring romance rumors even more. It was only in February 2021 when a Us Weekly source confirmed that they are dating.
“They started off as friends, but things have turned romantic. The two are staying in contact while they are living away from each other. The relationship is long-distance for right now, but they are making it work,” the source said.
Days after the insider confirmed the relationship, Rodgers announced at the NFL Honors awards that he already got engaged. Although he refused to name Woodley, it was the actress who revealed the truth with Fallon.
