Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has arrived like a storm at the box office. It has managed to keep a stronghold.
While holding its run after a week, Shang-Chi has now gone past $250 million at the worldwide box office.
‘Shang-Chi’ is doing absolutely fine!
The film has been a massive success with a praiseworthy performance from Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung Chiu-wai, and Meng’ er Zhang.
As per the latest reports, Shang-Chi has crossed the mark of $250 million globally. What’s incredible is that it did that despite pandemic restrictions and in just under 15 days of release.
Specifically speaking then the movie has collected an estimated $257.6 million so far, as of this writing.
The main revenue-generating regions have been the United States and Canada. And 42 other territories from around the world as well.
In terms of domestic performance, Shang-Chi has an estimated total of $145.6 million. The remaining share of $112 million comes from the rest of the global markets, bringing the overall amount to $257.6 million.
Furthermore, the latest MCU movie also dropped less than its previous franchise counterpart Black Widow. The latter had a drastic fall after a huge opening of over $80 million in July.
Shang-Chi also maintained its number one spot in many international markets. These include Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Russia, and the UK.
The theatrical run of the film is also a great sign for upcoming titles. Its performance has proved that fans will definitely arrive in the cinema halls if the movie is from a studio such as Marvel.
Also, the movie should be good as well, in quality!
