Shazam! graced the HBO Max again as it arrived on the streaming giant soon.
With the arrival of movies and series on streaming sites, Shazam! decided to expand its power again through HBO Max.
In a new report by ComicBook, it has been confirmed that the movie from the DCEU joined the catalog again. Initially, WarnerMedia decided to cut the movie from the list in March.
Obviously, this surprised many viewers since the movie actually came from Warner Bros.
But after months of waiting, fans and subscribers can rewatch again for the first time since March.
All about Shazam!
The 2019 comedic superhero film follows the story of Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who can transform into Super Hero Shazam (played by Zachary Levi).
In an interview last year, director David F. Sandberg revealed that many people pushed him to do the project. Some fans even demanded to turn it into a horror film.
“This is a New Line movie and they’re used to horror, so that wasn’t really a problem. It was just like, yeah, making sure that you don’t go too far. But they were very open to have a little bit of that, which I love it. It just makes the movie feel more complete when you have real stakes,” he said.
The new update came after the Shazam! the team began filming its new sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

The new film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, will see the return of the original cast members.
Apart from Angel and Levi, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jovan Armand, Ian Chen, Grace Fulton, Adam Brody, Faithe Herman, D.J. Controna, Meagan Good, Michell Borth, and Ross Butler will also return.
Meanwhile, the new cast members include Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, and Helen Mirren.
During the Q&A at DC FanDome in 2020, Sandberg said that he cannot drop more details about the potential villains.
“I can’t really talk about villains or villain, but I think a lot of people will be surprised,” he said. “It’s gonna be a little unexpected.”
Meanwhile, Levi recently shared his new Shazam!-themed sneakers to celebrate their return. He revealed the look of his new shoes to his fans through his social media accounts.
The Geeky Blinders customized it for him to mark the years he has been able to play the role. It also marked his blooming careers in the past years.
Originally, they set its debut date on April 1, 2022. However, they moved it to summer in 2023.
