She-Hulk is about to come to Disney+ with the latest addition to the Marvel family, Tatiana Maslany. As details about the new series remain under lock and key, will Abomination be her supervillain?
There is a lot of possible supervillains that can come to She-Hulk. However, one name that comes on the surface is The Incredible Hulk’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination.
The possible return of Abomination
Blonsky was first seen in 2008 The Incredible Hulk, played by Tim Roth. Thunderbolt Ross got the help of Blonsky to hunt Bruce Banner/Hulk, CBR noted.
He was a special-ops officer who saw himself as an aging fighter. As he got obsessed with being better and stronger, he agreed to be injected with a super-soldier serum to have the same power given to Captain America.
Hence, he developed super-human abilities. However, it had terrible side-effects, which was combined with Samuel Sterns’ experiment, giving birth to Abomination.
At the end of the movie, Hulk managed to defeat Abomination. Since then, fans hadn’t seen Abomination again.
However, in the Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant, it revealed Abomination was locked up after the events of The Incredible Hulk.
Blonsky is still out there and can make a return anytime. But, his future remains unknown after the fall of the S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Snap.
So, if ever he would make it on She-Hulk, he would be a fearsome opponent. However, they might not get into the fight, but the show might only make way for his return.
The beginning of She-Hulk
Meanwhile, Maslany now joins Marvel to play the role of She-Hulk in the new Disney+ TV series.
The 34-year-old star is an award-winning actress, who won an Emmy award for playing the role of Sarah Manning, and other clones, for five seasons of Orphan Black.
On She-Hulk, she will play the superhero role and her alter-ego, Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who is also the cousin of Bruce, or Hulk.
She-Hulk first appeared in 1980 comic, The Savage She-Hulk, in 1980, BBC noted. On Marvel’s official YouTube channel, it named Jennifer a “bad-ass lawyer breaking glass ceilings and a lot more.”
However, after she got shot, Bruce performed a life-saving blood transfusion that transformed her into a “giant, green rage monster.”
The diluted dose of gamma-filled blood let her be a softer version of Hulk, who can “keep her calm and her smarts while in Hulk form,” unlike her cousin.
“She-Hulk is arguably a more entertaining character than Hulk,” Marvel said. “She backs up her sensational strength with her savage wit and confidence.”
