Sherlock Holmes actress in “Miss Sherlock”, reportedly, died on Sunday, and her cause of death finally revealed.
Sherlock Holmes actress Yuko Takeuchi, allegedly, claimed her life this weekend at the age of 40.
On Sept. 27, investigative sources learned that the actress was found hanging inside her home in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward.
Reports added that they rushed the 40-year-old award-winning actress to a nearby hospital where she was confirmed dead.
According to the Japan Times, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department already began its investigation. As of the writing, they suspect that Takeuchi died in an apparent suicide.
Who Found Yuko Takeuchi’s Body?
Around 2:00 AM on Sunday, her husband, actor Taiki Nakabayashi, found her in the said apartment’s bedroom. Unfortunately, no suicide note has been found, leaving more questions on her death.
Her talent agency, Stardust Promotion Inc., already issued a statement regarding her sudden passing.
“It came all of a sudden, and we are all stunned and saddened by the news,” the agency said.
They also assured that they are examining the details of the incident.
The shocking event came nearly two months after another well-renowned Japanese actor, Haruma Miura, also died in a suspected suicide.
Several sources said that his manager found him at his home. He, reportedly, left a suicide note in his room, which they never publicized.
“To fans and people concerned, we apologize for the worry and the inconvenience caused, but as to details we are still confirming and will inform you once again,” Amuse Inc., his management company, said in a statement.
Miura was still slated to appear in a TV drama series this month September. He also landed a role in a musical kicking off before this year ends.
