‘Shin Megami Tensei’ V and III appear at recent Nintendo Direct

The recent Nintendo Direct Mini didn’t show much in terms of content, but fans of Shin Megami Tensei are happy by the end of the broadcast. After the long wait, we finally get to here about Shin Megami Tensei V again.

Shin Megami Tensei V is one of the most anticipated titles on the Nintendo Switch. Since being announced in 2017, we’ve yet to hear more about the game. The recent Nintendo Direct Mini showcased some news about the game, and it includes an unexpected announcement that fans will surely love.

‘Shin Megami Tensei III’ announced

One of the biggest surprises at the event was a remaster of the PlayStation 2 classic, Shin Megami Tensei III. No one saw the announcement coming, but of course, it was a welcome surprise as this is one of the best entries in the series so far.

Originally launching in 2003, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne was praised for its amazing story and gameplay features. Like the games before it, it had a demon collecting feature. Moreover, players were able to negotiate with demons as well.

One of the key features that set the game apart from its predecessors was that it had a high difficulty curve. The game was often praised for being difficult for an RPG, but some believe that it’s this difficulty that makes the game memorable as well.

No exact release date has been given yet, but the trailer notes that it will launch the spring of 2021.

‘Shin Megami Tensei V’ coming in 2021

First announced in 2017, Shin Megami Tensei V is perhaps the most anticipated RPG on the Switch currently. Fans have been longing for news about the game and its release date, and we know at least now that it’s pegged for a release next year.

Sadly, the trailer at the Nintendo Direct Mini didn’t show much in terms of story and gameplay. However, fans are already expecting a traditional RPG experience partnered with a robust demon collecting system. This is what the franchise has been known for.

The recent Nintendo Direct Mini may be disappointing for some, but there’s no doubt that fans of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise are ecstatic. Shin Megami Tensei V is already coming next year after its long absence. We are expecting to hear more from the developers soon. For now, fans have to be a bit patient as Nintendo as said that more directs like this are coming.
