What is Chainsaw Man all about

The story follows the story of Denji, a young orphan boy. After his father died, Denji is seemingly struck with debt he cannot pay.  However, Denji’s dog, Pochita, possesses chainsaw powers which Denji use in killing demons for Yakuza. Yakuza betrayed Denji and got killed by the Zombie Devil. Pochita sacrificed himself to save Denji. As a result, Denji was reborn and he now possessed Pochita’s power. Denji becomes the chainsaw man.

After obtaining Pochita’s power, and becoming the chainsaw man, Denji is recruited by Makima to join the Public Safety Devil Hunters.

Chainsaw Man initially debuted in 2018. The manga series is one of the many other manga works that was carried to the US as part of Viz Media’s “Jump Start” initiative. Hence, it will likely be included in the line-up with act-age and Jujutsu Kaisen which will likely get an anime next year.

Chainsaw Man plot

Tatsuki Fujimoto has not released any statement on the possible plot for the manga adaptation, other than the fact that the anime is on the way. Hence, fans will have to wait until an official announcement is released.

However, based on the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, there are possible directions to take.  The plot will have to follow the original storyline as written by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Furthermore, there are no details yet on who will run the production.  But if the adaptation will push through, Tatsuki Fujimoto must be involved.
