Chainsaw Man is becoming one of the popular Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Hence, an anime adaptation is currently in the works.
Chainsaw Man is written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto for manga fans. There are other Shonen Jump series, such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and The Promised Neverland that became an instant success with their anime debuts. Hence, Chainsaw Man is not far from becoming a success as well.
What is Chainsaw Man all about
The story follows the story of Denji, a young orphan boy. After his father died, Denji is seemingly struck with debt he cannot pay. However, Denji’s dog, Pochita, possesses chainsaw powers which Denji use in killing demons for Yakuza. Yakuza betrayed Denji and got killed by the Zombie Devil. Pochita sacrificed himself to save Denji. As a result, Denji was reborn and he now possessed Pochita’s power. Denji becomes the chainsaw man.
After obtaining Pochita’s power, and becoming the chainsaw man, Denji is recruited by Makima to join the Public Safety Devil Hunters.
Chainsaw Man anime adaptation confirmed on Twitter
Fans who follow Chainsaw Man are now getting excited about the new anime adaptation. The confirmation originated from YonkouProductions who posted on Twitter. He confirmed that Chainsaw Man is getting an anime.

Another Twitter post from Chainsaw News seemingly confirmed the anime adaptation. Hence, because of its swift popularity, Chainsaw Man is in the rush for an adaptation.

Chainsaw Man release date
There is no confirmation yet on when the adaptation will arrive at the digital platforms. It’s still too early to tell since the manga adaptation is still reportedly in the works. Chainsaw Man initially debuted in 2018. The manga series is one of the many other manga works that was carried to the US as part of Viz Media’s “Jump Start” initiative. Hence, it will likely be included in the line-up with act-age and Jujutsu Kaisen which will likely get an anime next year.

Tatsuki Fujimoto has not released any statement on the possible plot for the manga adaptation, other than the fact that the anime is on the way. Hence, fans will have to wait until an official announcement is released.
However, based on the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, there are possible directions to take. The plot will have to follow the original storyline as written by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Furthermore, there are no details yet on who will run the production. But if the adaptation will push through, Tatsuki Fujimoto must be involved.
