Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of Silent Hill, has just teased a new game! He recently shared a creepy horror concept art, thus giving hints.
According to Eurogamer, Silent Hill creator and director Keiichiro Toyama have teased a new horror title. By sharing his latest concept art, he has given ideas about the upcoming game’s kind of project.
A new game to take inspiration from “Silent Hill?”
Keiichiro Toyama, who’s also known for games like Siren, Gravity Rush, and more, shared a concept art recently in a developer video. And it looks very creepy, eerie while also being unsettling.
Fans of Silent Hill, upon knowing this, will surely expect a lot from Bokeh Game, the studio behind the iconic series. Just like the past installments, they will want a terrific and impactful new project whenever it comes out.
Speaking about Toyama, he left SCE Japan Studio and then joined Bokeh Game Studio at the end of 2020. In the past, Bokeh has also included other SCE people like Gravity Rush lead designer Junya Okura and Kazunobu Sato. The latter worked on The Last Guardian and Puppeteer.
Coming back to the new game from the Silent Hill creator, he shared few insights in his developer video:
“The view I have of horror is the everyday life being shaken. Rather than showing scary things, it should question our position, make us challenge the fact that we’re living peacefully…I would like that to be the theme of my next game.”
Interestingly, he mentioned that the next title wouldn’t be filled with a taste of horror. He said that he wants to keep elements from the genre. But at the same time, he also wants to make players “feel exhilarated when playing.”
Upcoming 2021 video games
Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of new titles in the new year, as many upcoming games are just around the corner. Some massive entries like Hitman 3, The Medium, and Little Nightmares 2 are already out. They are also performing great as far as worldwide sales are concerned.
More exciting blockbusters are coming soon in the next few months. The Most-anticipated of them is God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Resident Evil Village, and Far Cry 6. However, there are way too many titles since 2021 is a full year of great surprises.
Other awaited games are Halo Infinite, Returnal, The Day Before, Glitchpunk, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, Psychonauts 2.
Coming back to the Silent Hill creator’s newly teased horror project, no other details are known about it.
