Silent Hill should be on the list for a Netflix anime reboot.
When it comes to horror games, Silent Hill takes the mantle of being the best on the list. Outright the history of Silent Hill, this game has taken many forms, such as video games, comics, and even movies.
But right now, Netflix should take up the series and make an anime reboot of the game to get started with. This franchise has been considered one of the best on the survival horror gaming list, but the film adaptation of the game has left something to be desired.
The adaptations of the game made so far
A new adaptation could breathe life back into the saga for long-time fans while drawing into the new audience for better and more mainstream format such as a Netflix anime that the developers and directors can provide. Silent Hill is one of the most legit series of survival horror games that was first launched in 1999, all surrounding the eerie title town.
Over the eight games that have been part of the main series, the various protagonist of the game have faced their fears and their own personal horrors as they arrive in the town.
It is more like what lies in the dark shall seek your way. Starting from demons, monsters to cultists, terrifying hospitals, and the ominous fog, players can name anything, and Silent Hill has it all.
In t006, the first game was adapted into a live-action movie starring Radha Mitchell as Rose and a mother entering Silent Hill to find a proper cure for her adopted daughter.
Throughout the entirety of the game, it has received a lot of criticism for its storytelling, but something for sure, the movie was visually stunning.
Is there going to be a new anime title for the game?
In 2012, Silent Hill Revelation was ultimately disappointing and with plenty of continuity errors and a bad special effect that made this movie not quite a watch.
When it comes to the actual gameplay, one of the best things about Silent Hill is that it has the perfect ability to capture its audience and then divert its focus on the factor that the game is visually receptive to, especially when the monsters come and chase the players.
In recent years, several horror games have received the Netflix anime treatment, such as Castlevania, adapted as a Netflix anime and received mostly all the positive responses from critics and audiences alike.
Resident Evil, another titan in the survival horror game, has been adapted into various animated films and has its own Netflix anime show arriving in July 2021.
