SM Entertainment addresses the agitating controversy its new girl group aespa faces with the music video for Black Mamba.
The home management of the newly debuted girl group, SM Entertainment, clarifies the plagiarism controversy aespa is battling for Black Mamba‘s music video’s similarities to other original works.

In a report by Soompi, the agency of aespa addressed the issue on December 22 (Tuesday) by saying:
“The artist and company understood our agency’s planning and production process, and they confirmed that they have no objections to the music video scene.”
Moreover, the agency explained that they have already contacted the artist and companies included in the plagiarism controversy.
SM spoke to them by sharing its intentions in making the music video for Black Mamba a world story.
The talks’ outcome made the artist and the company understand the agency’s game plan and the production process.
Later on, they have confirmed that they have no objections to the music video scene being reported as plagiarized.
What went down on aespa’s plagiarism issue
Furthermore, Koreaboo states that SM Entertainment was before handily demanded to address the similarities found on the music video of Black Mamba.
The scenes are the artist’s visual arts; after the artist, himself lifted the issue.
The artists are the German visual artist Timo Helgert and the virtual group K/DA.
Timo said that aespa copy the scene where a flower garden grows in a subway car and the enormous snake in the same place.
Simultaneously, K/DA accused aespa of plagiarizing the neon-colored creature in the said music video.
At the same time, netizens quickly bash and call out the rookie girl group and its agency.
As a result, the issue grew more extensive than expected, as netizens’ thoughts and concerns added fuel to the burning controversy.
