Sonic the Hedgehog continues to celebrate its 3 decades in the business as it collaborates with Two Point Hospital.
It has been some 30-full years since the Blue Blur has entered the market. Enough a time to consider itself in line with most Millennials. Although the announcement of the Sonic Colors: Ultimate makes for the highlight of the occasion, it doesn’t just end there. Just now, Sonic is announced for a crossover with the business simulation game, Two Point Hospital.
Doctors in Costume
Beginning July 30, players will get to don their doctors with a costume that resembles Sonic and the gang. Well, because doctors in video games can wear any costume that players want and it doesn’t make them any less trustworthy. And, simply, why not?
Originally announced back in May as part of the Sonic Central broadcast. But it’s only today that Two Point Hospital is confirming it via a tweet. More specifically, in stating how the update will be delayed than originally planned. No funny business there and is what actually happens in gaming from time to time due to unforeseen circumstances.
GOTTA GO FAST!

Looking into the tweet itself, it confirms the date by which the crossover will effectively be in place. Importantly, it also shows how the costumes would have looked like, if already worn. From left to right, it shows Knuckles the Echidna, Tails, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Amy Rose.
Finding Humor
Clearly, costumes of this nature would not mean much in a virtual world of video games. If anything, the domain itself has been home to many such antics from a myriad of franchises, without any particular bearing. This collaboration between Sonic the Hedgehog and Two Point Hospital is no exception.
Yet, despite that notion, some find humor in putting more slice of reality in a simulation game by the presumption of increasing likelihood of malpractice. That is, if a player chooses to wear the Knuckles outfit, especially during surgery. Obviously, in reference to said character’s exaggeratedly humongous hands, relative to others.
Potential Re-release
In another Sonic-related news, there’s also an ongoing rumor regarding a supposed leak that points to an anniversary edition of Sonic Racing Transformed. Also, expectedly enough, to launch sometime this year. Popular belief suggests that no additional contents will be in place with the said release. However, if box art is to go by, it appears that it will come with an artbook. The idea of which could present as a good incentive to avid fans of the franchise.
