It seems like Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 won’t leave anything untouched. Now, new rumors are suggesting William Dafoe’s return as Green Goblin!
According to Comicbook Movie, new rumors originating from The Illuminerdi are suggesting that Spider-Man 3 will also see the return of Green Goblin! Actor William Dafoe who played the antagonist in Sam Raimi’s original trilogies is expected to reprise his role.
Although the big news isn’t going to be a shocker, since it’s known that other former actors are also coming back.
Green Goblin isn’t the only one returning
Before the latest rumor of actor Dafoe’s Green Goblin appearance, Spider-Man 3 already witnessed many comebacks! Early leaks since the last few months have almost confirmed returns of Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina. While Foxx will reprise the role of Electro, Molina will become Doc Ock, yet again. They both were last seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 2, respectively.
Meanwhile, actor Thomas Haden Church, Sandman in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, might also appear.
Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone are also expected to reprise their past films’ roles. It looks like Marvel’s Multiverse aspect is going to be huge and amazing.
However, it’s not certain whether they all will appear in their versions or MCU’s own style. That is, Marvel Studios may change their backstory to fit them in its own cinematic universe. But that also depends if it’s planning to expand its involvement beyond the multiverse-related crossover film.
