A seven-minute Spider-Man: Miles Morales gameplay preview showcased how in-depth the game graphics are with Sony’s PlayStation 5.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is one of the highly-anticipated PlayStation 5 titles that’ll launch alongside the next-gen console. Sony just impressed over one million viewers during the recent showcase.
Coming to PS5 and PS4
First off, one of Insomniac Games’ biggest reveals is that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be coming to both of Sony’s consoles—the PlayStation 5 and 4.
James Stevenson, Community Director at Insomniac Games, explains:
“Yes, that’s right, we know that some of you may transition to PS5 at different times, which it was why it was important to us to release the latest title in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe on both consoles.”
If players are hesitant to buy the PS4 version, the game offers support for a “next-gen upgrade path.” Moreover, getting the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition at US$69.99 will have a voucher code.
This voucher code will entitle players to a copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered.
“You’ll be able to experience the complete storyline up to this point, which includes the remaster of the original game and all three installments of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC so you can play the full narrative arc,” Stevenson further wrote.
Game graphics are very crisp
The gameplay demo showcased a lot of the console’s potential. Watching the gameplay preview in 4K will definitely let any viewers appreciate the Unreal Engine 5 quality.
The demo featured a face-off between Miles and the game franchise’s new villain, the Tinkerer. The game design featuring “fancier lighting and particle effects” makes a big difference when compared to its predecessor title from the PS4, per The Verge.
Even the dust that the characters create when jumping down, gives off a very realistic effect.
Stevenson described the game on PS5 as a showpiece:
“From the silky smooth targeted 60fps frame rate Performance Mode, to feeling the bio-electric venom energy course through your fingertips via the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller, to hearing Marvel’s New York surround you in lush 3D audio.”
Spider-Man: Miles Morales storyline
The game’s story picks up a year after the first Spider-Man title. Nonetheless, Miles’ role will definitely differ from Peter Parker‘s. His powers alone already have the modern flashy mix on it.
With his “new flashy venom blast-infused abilities and a rechargeable camouflage for stealth.”
The Tinkerer, although new in the game franchise, is a classic villain to the Spider-Man comic.
