A new poster from Sony Pictures Japan gives a clear look at Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. In the second trailer, the makers provided a brief glimpse of his changed appearance. Now the poster also features the same costume.
Talking about the entire poster, then it features Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the spotlight, alongside Doctor Strange. The poster also shows Zendaya’s MJ, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, and Lizard. However, there is no Sandman who was in the second trailer.
Coming back to Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin then before his official confirmation, there were many rumors floating around. The leaks and reports were saying that he is coming back in No Way Home, thanks to the multiverse plot.
Now, the second trailer and the new poster have legitimately confirmed his return and kind-of-a-debut in the MCU. His hoodie in place of the mask (from Sam Raimi’s films) will allow him to shine more in terms of giving expressions.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will also bring back other old Spider-Man villains apart from Green Goblin. Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius and Sandman (from Sam Raimi’s trilogy) and Lizard and Electro (from The Amazing Spider-Man series) are also coming back.
Of course, widely rumored and almost confirmed Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are still not announced. It looks like they will appear directly in the movie when it releases in theaters, hopefully. However, Marvel Studios hasn’t provided a word on this matter yet.
Upcoming MCU titles in the future
Meanwhile, the fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are currently excited for the future slate of the blockbuster franchise.
Speaking of the new entries then the brand new Disney Plus TV series in Hawkeye has finally released recently. The show features returning actor Jeremy Renner as the iconic Clint Barton. Along with him, actress Hailee Steinfeld is playing the role of Kate Bishop.
After Hawkeye, the major shows to arrive on Disney Plus include the likes of Ms. Marvel, Armor Wars, and She-Hulk.
On the side of films, the line-up looks solid as well. Following the launch of Eternals in November, the next big installment to make its way is Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Due to the insane amount of hype around it, the upcoming film has become the most awaited MCU title since Avengers: Endgame.
