The latest in-engine gameplay teaser of STALKER 2 has finally revealed the upcoming game’s protagonist. The new lead character is Skif.

According to Dualshockers, the just-released in-engine gameplay teaser trailer for STALKER 2 introduces a new protagonist named Skif.

The title was first announced at 2020’s Xbox Games Showcase by GSC Game World.

STALKER 2″ and its early details

Now that it’s been revealed, the sequel will see a new lead character, and the story will follow Skif. And with that, there will be unexpected, haunting obstacles in saving the world.

Another great thing coming out from the recent teaser is the impressive graphical detail. It looks really amazing and seems like players will enjoy spending their time on it.

STALKER 2 is very dark and gritty, which can be felt right away from the promotional clips so far. Talking about features, then it also supports ray-tracing (becoming famous after Cyberpunk 2077). Along with that, players will be able to play it in full 4K resolution as well!

The in-engine gameplay reveals a lot of information about how the experience will be like, actually to have it.

The clip shows Skif running through the Zone, which is where the explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant happened. It was in the first installment. The teaser also shows ray-traced reflections and light beams, and a falling tree. Everything looks very much intense.

The teaser clip ends with something attacking the protagonist. Not much is known regarding this, but the developer has revealed that an unknown entity is coming. It will be showcased in the future.

GSC Game World claims that the sequel is the biggest open-world title in years. Players will see themselves exploring a haunting environment in the first-person. It will be interesting to see the reception among the enthusiasts after its eventual arrival.

Upcoming anticipated games of 2021

While 2020 was great in giving out extremely magnificent titles like The Last of Us 2 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, 2021 will be even bigger.

Some of the most-awaited video games of this year include Halo Infinite, for which fans are hyped up a lot. Then there’s Far Cry 6, Hitman 3, Capcoms Resident Evil Village, and Cyber Shadow.

Super Mario World: Bowser’s Fury, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Twelve Minutes, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is also coming soon.

STALKER 2 will be released in the coming months of 2021 for the Xbox Series X | S and PC. Additionally, the launch will happen on Xbox Game Pass as well, on the first day for supported consoles.
