Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone hinted at upcoming content for the game’s 1.5 update. In a tweet, Barone pointed at an addition to one of the game’s shop areas.
Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, is busy expanding on Stardew Valley. The game is now on its 1.5 update and is adding more late-game content. With its 10 million copies sold and going, the fan base is eager to wait more than ever.
ConcernedApe hints at new locale for the upcoming update
In a tweet last Tuesday, ConcernedApe showed a change in the game’s fishing shop. The update added a new ladder, which hints at a portal to a new location.
“Stardew Valley 1.5 update… notice anything new in Willy’s shop? Progress on the update is coming along steadily,” said Barone. “It’s still in a ‘nose to the grindstone’ phase, but some good milestones have been met. This update adds a significant new piece of end-game content and much more!”
Since its first release, Stardew has received a ton of changes, especially to how the game plays. More farms, more activities, and more items came and changed the game’s landscape. Furthermore, Barone kept adding end-game content.

Many players are both efficient and patient enough to breeze through the game. For the ones who got the hang of Stardew, players can maximize farming and profits. Smart fans can consume all the current content in as little as 2 to 3 in-game years.
Barone has constantly added to meet the end-game needs of the players. Somehow, this isn’t enough as people are finding ways to finish the game faster.
Eric Barone busy with Stardew and various spinoffs
Stardew Valley is not the only project that ConcernedApe is juggling at the moment. Back in February, Barone hinted at upcoming games apart from his farming sim.
The first game will take place in the Stardew world. This game will likely happen within Ferngill Republic or the Gotoro Empire, the game’s two nations. The other game “will tie into Stardew Valley in some way,” according to Barone.
The progress on the new content is still ongoing, and there’s no information anywhere about it. In the last 1.4 update, ConcernedApe added a ton of new items. This edition includes a new cinema, fish ponds, a new farm map, and 14-heart events.
He also added at least two hundred new clothes, food items, farm items, and weapons. The game’s multiplayer has also improved tremendously since its inception.
Stardew Valley is available for both PC and mobile for around $10. The game does not have any DLCs, so all future updates are free.
