‘Stranger Things’ season 4 won’t arrive until 2021, production to resume

The much anticipated fourth installment of Stranger Things won’t arrive until 2021. However, Stranger Things season 4 will resume filming by the end of September 2020.

Like other shows that went into production early this year, the series has been into limbo for six months now. It has been over a year since the third season’s finale hit the small screens. Since then, fans have been looking forward to Stranger Things season 4 to grace the screens once again. While Netflix release is not certain yet, the fourth installment will arrive the earliest in July or August 2021.

Is “Stranger Things” series for kids?

According to the British Board Film Classification, the show is not for kids below 15 years old. It stars kids and talks about kids’ courage and friendship, but the creepy violent parts are not suited for children. Many of their episodes contain strong language, threat, and horror, references to sexual violence, and violence.

Starred by Millie Brown, Wynona Ryder, David Harbour, and Finn Wolfhard, the show is set in the tradition of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. The show is a science fiction series that delves into the paranormal and the supernatural.

What to expect from “Stranger Things” season 4

The first season starts with the disappearance of Will Byers. The search for Will is led by a band of kids from the fictional town of Hawkins. They are assisted by a psychokinetic girl called Eileen.

Will’s rescue at the end of the first installment ushers in more of the supernatural from Upside Down. His friends and their families discover that a larger threat is coming to their town.

While all paranormal and supernatural beings seem to be vanquished in the second installment, a new threat comes to Hawkins.  In the third season, the town is abuzz with the goings-on at the Starcourt Mall. Hopper was assumed dead following his disappearance.  In truth, Hopper is a prisoner in the mysterious Russian underground base.

Stranger Things season 4 resurrects Hopper as he faces the dangers of Russian ire and the unknown. To brave them, fans would expect a change in him akin to the transformation of Gandalf Grey to Gandalf White.

Ross Duffer teases return of season 5

Rumors of Season 4, being the finale for the show, was dismissed by producer Ross Duffer. He assures that there is still more to come, aside from the recent announcement to resume production. The ending scenario is already known to the Duffer Brothers but unraveling the end is open to a lot of possibilities. The show may even live to tell the tale up to a 6th season.
