While celebrants traditionally would often get gifts, this birthday celebration will see SEGA giving away presents instead. This comes in the idea of making Streets of Kamurocho a free game, which will see distribution via Steam.
If either or both Yakuza or Streets of Rage do not ring a bell, then here’s probably an easy way to describe it. Streets of Kamurocho is, basically, a reskin of the popular 2D brawler, but featuring Yakuza’s Kiryu and Majima. As the title implies, the setting of the game takes place in Kamurocho, a fictional Tokyo region, which pits players against its baddies.
The game is intended to be a limited time offer, however. Interested persons will only have until Oct. 19 to get the game, beginning Oct. 17.
More giveaways
But if the game was not enough to gather people’s attention to SEGA’s milestone event, it’s adding more to the giveaway. This additional gift comes in the form of another game that the company is also distributing away without charge—Armor of Heroes.
Like Streets of Kamurocho, this game, will also see circulation via the Steam platform, making it easily accessible for all. In addition, it will also be available to download for free on Oct. 15.
Fans of Battle Tanks will find Armor of Heroes to be an easily likable game due to similar game design. The latter being only a modern take to the original NES title, while also featuring multiplayer element for additional enjoyment. A modern twist to a tried-and-tested formula, the game takes advantage of Relic Entertainment’s assets for Company of Heroes for its creation.

But there’s more
Yet, the list of giveaways does not just end with the two games; there’s two more. Adding to titles that will see free distribution are Endless Zone and Golden Axed.
Endless Zone, to put it simply, is also another SEGA’s attempt at making a modern iteration of a classic title. For this game, in particular, it is SEGA’s Fantasy Zone, a popular arcade 2D shooter. The game will be available via Steam on Oct. 16 – 19, 2020.
Lastly, and arguably the most exciting giveaway by SEGA, is the restored canceled project, Golden Axed. This interesting title was supposed to be a thing previously, if not for the closure of SEGA Studios Australia back in 2013. It is available for grabs for only a single day on Oct. 18, 2020.
