Steve from Minecraft has just been announced as the next DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As usual, fans are focused on finding out who’s coming next to the popular fighting game.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster is going to get expanded with Steve from Minecraft. This long-requested character has finally been given by the developers. Seeing as there are four more characters coming, fans are already eager to see who’s next. The rumor mill is already going, and it could be one of these heavily rumored characters.
Tracer
Tracer is the undisputed poster girl for Blizzard’s Overwatch. According to recent rumors, she’s going to be one of the characters added to the Fighter Pass. While Steve may be the star this time, fans believe that Tracer will be revealed next year at Blizzcon.
Having Tracer revealed during Blizzcon Online, which launches in Feb., seems like the appropriate timing. This Overwatch character has been highly requested, and her skill kit makes her a perfect addition as well.
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launches today globally. As the recent reveal was so close to the release date, fans had initially been expected Crash Bandicoot to be the next character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The highly anticipated fourth mainline game will not launch on the Switch despite the N.Sane Trilogy being available on the console. Fans are now speculating that Crash Bandicoot will be added if Nintendo decides to port the fourth game into the Switch as well.
The four champions
This one of the wildest rumors out there, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t great. Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity also puts the spotlight on the four champions of Hyrule – Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa. Fans are hoping that the four characters are going to be a part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
It might seem hard to figure out, but some fans suggest making the character like Pokemon Trainer. This means giving the players the ability to swap between the four champions at any point during a match. This would give Breath of the Wild’s breakthrough stars the recognition they deserve.
Considering how wide Nintendo’s choices are, it’s hard to pinpoint who’s going to be the next Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC. Fans are hoping that Nintendo will listen to their requests. Seeing that the fan-favorite Steve has been chosen, it’s likely that Nintendo will listen again.
