Scientists have found 24 super habitable planets. Researchers say it is better to find a superhabitable planet rather than finding an Earth 2.0.
Some researches of Washington State University have been saying that Earth is not the best planet known. They have found 24 superhabitable planets outside our solar system, which are way better than Earth.
Now the question arises: where are these planets and why are they better than Earth? The scientists believe that there are some superhabitable planets where life could easily thrive.
The researchers’ assumptions are based on data acquired from a bunch of powerful telescopes.
In addition to that, all the researchers admit that if we are looking for life, then we should look for superhabitable planets.
Superhabitable planets are those exoplanets on which life exists. These planets are identified based on their biocentric environment rather than their geocentric environment.
The scientists look for some essential characteristics: first, they should be twice or one third bigger than the earth radius.
Second, they should have a more significant gravitational attraction to capture much more gas during the planet’s formation.
Earth is the only planet we know of so far to host life, but it may not be the best place for life when compared with "superhabitable" planets, according to a new study https://t.co/dwBlxfpRrQ

Third, the type of Sun in that solar system is that less massive suns are more stable and can live longer.
Lastly, the planet should be healthy enough to build a strong Magnetosphere to protect the planet’s surface from cosmic radiation and Stellar winds.
Scientists have only found 24 exoplanets that are a hundred light-years away from our solar system. They have discovered these exoplanets with the help of more giant telescopes.
They haven’t searched the planet for life but have tagged them as superhabitable planets based on their general conditions.
What is wrong with our Earth?
The Earth is not a superhabitable planet because of the drastic climate change that is happening over time. Climate change has forced every scientist to look for another exoplanet, just like Earth.
The scientists believe that the Earth’s lifespan is not much; the life on the Earth will soon deteriorate on a large scale.
The scientists are expecting that our Sun will not last very long. The Sun runs out of fuel, and when that happens, it starts swelling.
About that, when a star starts swelling, it captures everything around it. The researchers expect that the Sun will swell up and capture Venus.
If the Sun gets this close to Earth, then the temperature of the Earth will rise rapidly. Because of which the scientists are looking for a superhabitable planet and not an Earth 2.0.
In conclusion, there are only a few billion years left for humankind to survive on Earth. If scientists do not find a superhabitable planet, then future generations’ lives are at stake.
