Surface Book 3, Surface Dock 2, and Surface Go 2 set for release this year

Rounded up rumors about the Surface Book 3, Surface Go 2, and the Surface Dock 2

Microsoft will be doing big launches during the middle and latter part of the year. Fans will soon have access to newer versions of their favorite Microsoft laptops.

Microsoft has made its mark in the 2-in-1 laptop and the convertible laptop market. The company has been able to challenge the likes of Apple, Dell, Lenovo and HP despite being relatively new in the laptop industry,

The sales figures are a completely different story as Microsoft is still gaining its foothold in the industry. Despite this fact, Microsoft laptops have already been going toe-to-toe with the flagship laptops of the four mentioned companies.

Microsoft Surface Book 3 and its features remain strong

The new Surface Book 3 shall launch with two different screen size configurations at 13.5″ and 15″. The main selling point of the Surface Book 3 will still be its convertible tablet to laptop attachment.

The internal configuration of the Surface Book 3 shall come with an Intel Intel Core i5-10210U (1.6GHz, 4.2GHz turbo) or the Core i7-10510U (1.8GHz, 4.9GHz turbo). Depending on the user, these two configurations will provide enough speed to carry out heavy processing tasks and even heavy gaming.

Depending on the configuration, the Surface Book 3 has been positioned as daily drivers for regular consumers and businesses.

Microsoft Surface Dock 2 will provide more power to devices

Windows is also set to launch the new Surface Dock 2 to augment the lack of power from the stock chargers of the Microsoft Surface Book 2.

The big difference from the first Surface Dock version shall be the allocation of slots for USB connections. Instead of having four USB-A ports, the Surface Dock 2 shall have two of those replaced with USB-C ports. The mini DisplayPort has also been converted to additional USB-C ports.

The new Surface Dock 2 shall be able to juice up the Surface Book 3 with an updated port selection of up to 200W output.

Microsoft Surface Go 2 to capture more hearts

The entry version of the Microsoft Surface series has experienced a roaring success. Windows got the configurations of this device on point when it positioned itself as the laptop for light users. Additionally, parents and students find this device as the perfect laptop companion.

The original Surface Go is not only a very portable laptop, but it is also a compact and serviceable device that can do basic computer tasks.

The new Surface Go 2 shall not stray too far away from the original version. The main difference shall be the internal processors’ options. The options for it are either the Pentium Gold 4425Y or the Core m3-8100Y.

Another possible upgrade with the Surface Go 2 is an LTE capability. With this configuration, the Surface Go 2 will become even more versatile for ultra-portability.
