Sweet Home, a Netflix original series that debuted at No. 14 on Netflix’s Top TV Shows in the World, is now ranking No. 3 on Top TV Shows in Netflix US.
Sweet Home, starring Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, Go Min Si, Park Kyu Young, Go Youn Jung, and more, is gaining popularity both at home and abroad in the second week of its release.
The flourishing popularity of “Sweet Home”
In the daily ranking of Top TV Shows in the US Netflix on Dec 25, Sweet Home blasted into number three.
From the series’s debut position at number eight, the show rose quickly to number seven and number five. After two weeks, the breathtaking series finally landed at number three on Christmas.
With Sweet Home‘s catchy storyline and superb actors, the series is enjoying an increase in popularity around the World.
It managed to remain its spot within the Top 10 in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.
Moreover, in 11 countries, including Korea, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Chile, Malaysia, Peru, and Taiwan, the show topped the chart.
Meanwhile, the thriller webtoon of the same name which the show is based garnered a staggering 1.2 billion views.
The series’s revisions
The Netflix original series was released simultaneously around the world on Dec 18. Published in Naver Webtoon, Sweet Home is based on a thriller webtoon of the same name.
It has been noted that the storytelling of some of the series‘s characters is different from the original work.
The original characters that do not exist in the webtoon include Seo Yi Kyung (Lee Si Young), Han Yoo Jin (Han Yoo Jin), Choi Yoon Jae (Go Geun Han), and Jung Eui Myung (Kim Sung Chul).
Also showing a clear difference in his setting from the original character is Pyung Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook).
