Synthetik 2 is coming soon, with the devs showing a first look at its gameplay and revealing a demo coming next week.
Synthetik 2 already has its Early Access release date revealed, with the game coming on August 19. Before then, players would have a chance to get their hands on a demo. The free demo will come June 16 as part of Steam Next Fest.
Synthetik: Legion Rising received positive reviews
Synthetik: Legion Rising came out in 2018 and was a decent game at the time. The title was a top-down 2D roguelike shooter, known for its crazy weapon mechanics. Players get a bombardment of weird extras, including movement-based recoil and even active reloading.

The game has many enjoyable points, including some of the best gun audios for its genre. Synthetik still has an overwhelmingly positive rating, so Flow Fire Games decided to create a sequel to their hugely successful title.
They released a gameplay trailer today, and it’s easy to see what will change for the upcoming sequel. For starters, the game will now be a 3D isometric voxel-style design.
The graphics are miles better than the first one, especially considering the trailer uses alpha footage. Otherwise, the game is still the same enjoyable style that fans enjoyed from the first iteration of Synthetik.
Synth2 to release demo for Steam Next Fest
Flow Fire Games announced that Synthetik 2 will have its demo available next week. This, in part, is due to their celebration of the Steam Next Fest. The demo will include a few tidbits that fans will surely enjoy.
For starters, demo users can get two classes available, including “custom class building.” The demo will also include at least a full level of enemies and a boss that fans can shoot.
“SYNTHETIK 2 is a bold continuation of SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising,” says the game’s description. “Fight a world overrun by the relentless Machine Legion. Experience the next level in gun-play and upgrade yourself beyond measure to rival their Gods. Can you defeat the Heart of Armageddon?”
Much of the game should still feel like the original Synthetik, down to its egregious weapon jam mechanics. New players should expect some satisfyingly realistic weapon handling.
For those considering to play the sequel, it’s best to start with the first game. Knowing how to play the first title allows fans to get a feel of the mechanics and gameplay.
Synthetik 2 will come out in Early Access on August 19, so the demo should be a great preview of things to come.
