Taylor Swift bouncing back from a canceled tour
Taylor Swift had a full year’s worth of shows and appearances for 2020, including the highly-awaited Lover Fest, her sixth concert tour, and first-ever music festival tour.
The tour was supposed to start last April 5 in Atlanta City, Georgia, and then end on August 1 in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Less than three weeks ago, however, the singer had announced that she was canceling all of her live shows this year, due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
According to the statement she released, all of her 2020 shows in the United States and Brazil will be rescheduled next year, although no specific dates have been announced just yet.
Staying popular while staying at home
Despite the COVID-19 crisis, Taylor Swift’s stardom hasn’t shown any signs of fading, even while she’s staying at home just like the rest of her fans around the world.
It certainly doesn’t hurt that the 30-year-old superstar is appearing to spend her quarantine time together with her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Swift began dating the British thespian around three years ago, and so far, the couple has tried to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. Considering their combined fame, this will remain to be a tricky endeavor.
More recently, Swift expressed her gratitude for healthcare workers on the front lines, notably Whitney Hilton, a nurse who once went to one of the singer’s concerts.
Originally stationed at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Utah, Hilton volunteered to be deployed in New York City, one of the cities in America affected the most by COVID-19.
To thank her, Swift has since sent Hilton presents, with the nurse thanking the superstar back with an ecstatic tweet:
I need to PUBLICLY THANK TAYLOR SWIFT @taylorswift & @taylornation13 @treepaine for sending me a box full of Merch & a PERSONALIZED LETTER from Taylor herself for my 30th birthday/for going to NYC ????to help as a nurse. This was quite literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. ???? pic.twitter.com/FqGMsZGixs
