What’s new with these iPhones
Apple’s pricing scheme for its upcoming flagship lineup is interesting. While many tech commentators note that the new iPhones are somewhat similar to their predecessors, the addition of 5G support is a real game changer.
The adoption of 5G technology is not that massive yet in the United States, but it has interesting potential, especially when it comes to data transmission. Moreover, many are expecting the country to massively rollout 5G technology within the foreseeable future.
In contrast, Samsung is offering its 5G capable flagship devices at a much steeper price range. The Samsung Galaxy S20 costs $999.
The entry-level model of the upcoming iPhone is also relatively cheaper compared to its predecessors. The introduction of the LiDAR sensor opens up the potential that Apple is working on Augmented Reality.
Lastly, the upcoming iPhone 12 models are expected to sport the powerful A14 chipset. Rumors around this chip is that it is capable of MacBook Pro-grade performance. The introduction of OLED screens is also a welcome upgrade.
