With the reveal of a new update video, Techland has confirmed that its upcoming title Dying Light 2, will arrive in 2021.
Techland released a new video on Thursday informing about the status of Dying Light 2. The game is now set to be released later this year, as per the developer.

As you can see above, the latest video shows small snippets of the gameplay from Dying Light 2.
Previously there were reports of a delay in the launch. But now Techland has shared an important update regarding the highly anticipated game.
“This is a huge and complex project, and we needed time to make sure it will live up to our vision,” a developer said in the clip.
“All of us here are putting our hearts into delivering a game that you will keep playing for months. We will be ready to start talking about Dying Light 2 very, very soon.”
Although there’s no exact date mentioned in the new video, it did confirm that the release will happen before the year-end.
Lead designer Tymon Smektala said that they need the trust and support of fans at the moment for them to work on the title with increased motivation.
He added that the team is proud to have such a great fan base while telling them to be patient for “just a bit longer.”
The video also shows 30 seconds of gameplay from Dying Light 2 before ending with a splash screen dropping a 2021 card.
Upcoming video games in 2021
Meanwhile, this year has a lot to offer, especially when it comes to exciting launches.
The excitement, the upcoming months will reveal heavyweights like Resident Evil Village and Halo Infinite. Far Cry 6, a new COD entry, Horizon Forbidden West, Riders Republic, Deathloop, and STALKER 2 are also awaited.
But that’s not everything!
The line-up extends further with the likes of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Monster Hunter Rise, Returnal, and Humankind.
Other crucial names to watch out for are Balan Wonderworld, GhostWire: Tokyo, Gotham Knights, and New World. Biomutant, Psychonauts 2, Bravely Default 2, No More Heroes 3, and Loop Hero will make their debut soon as well.
Several recently announced projects to make their way this year are The Day Before, Glitchpunk, and Etched Memories. The latter will be interesting to witness since it features a Cat as the main protagonist, named Biscuit!
