Netflix just dropped another trailer for a new series titled Teenage Bounty Hunters, bringing in a story of quirky twins who happen to be bounty hunters.
Another teen-centered production is about to hit the streaming platform. However, the Teenage Bounty Hunters movie is not your typical teenage cliche film, as it is also going to be action-packed and not to mention quirky.
For the first impression, the upcoming film looks as if Charlie’s Angels started their career at the age of 16.
Introducing the quirky stars
Teenage Bounty Hunter is Netflix‘s new comedy original series. It stars Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini, who play the role of the fraternal twins, Sterling and Blair Wesley.
Phillips may be known for a lot of on-screen roles such as Kara from Undercover Cheerleader and the necromancer from the Supernatural series who went by the name of Harper Sayles.
Meanwhile, Fellini is more new to the filming scene, with her first movie dating in 2017 titled Margot, per IMDb. She was also part of the cast of The Gifted—a TV series on Fox.
The series storyline
Sterling and Blair are seen in quite a series of adventures as they “nail” work and life balance as teenage rebels. They are part-time bounty hunters and full-time teenagers, as the Teenage Bounty Hunter teased.
Collider quotes Netflix’s official series synopsis, which reads:
“Rebelling against their buttoned-up Southern community, sixteen-year-old fraternal twin sisters Sterling (Maddie Phillips) and Blair (Anjelica Bette Fellini) Wesley team up with veteran bounty hunter Bowser Jenkins (Kadeem Hardison) for an over-the-top adventure as they dive into the world of bail skipping baddies and suburban secrets while trying to navigate high school drama — love, sex, and study hall.”
The rest of the cast
Kadeem Hardison, who plays the role of Bowser Jenkins, basically the “Bosely” of the girls, he is best known for his role as Dwayne Wayne on the 1987 TV sitcom titled A Different World.
Hardison’s role in the series will be a “by-the-books veteran bounty hunter.” He meets Sterling and Blair by chance, as he decided to move to Atlanta for a fresh start.
Each twin has their very own love interest, with Blair and Miles Taylor (played by Myles Evans) starting it off with a “bumpy first date,” while Luke Creswell (played Spencer House), the captain of the golf team is “hopelessly devoted” Sterling.
Teenage Bounty Hunters was created by Kathleen Jordan. She is also the writer and one of the executive producers of the Netflix series.
The series is set to take the digital stage on the Netflix platform on August 14.
