Two of CW’s long-time running series, The 100 and Arrow have officially been confirmed to end.
However, the opportunity of developing the series’ spinoffs is high as CW recently hints of a greenlight. CW President and CEO, Mark Pedowitz recently announced the idea of potential spinoffs for the popular TV series. Pedowitz said that the project is “very much alive”.
“They are very much in active discussions to see what we can do,” he said on a call to discuss the network’s fall and 2021 schedule. I’ve had many discussions with Warner Bros, we have a strategy involved — hopefully we can pull it off.
Furthermore, CEO Pedowitz explained that there are discussions on how to deliver the projects for Arrow’s spinoff and The 100 prequel. The CW network is still trying to fix the schedule for the Fall and 2021 schedule.
The 100 series prequel
Although nothing is final yet, CW hints prequel is very much possible. The 100 prequel has no title yet but the storyline will come from the series’ developer and showrunner, Jason Rothenberg.

The plot began 97 years before earth people went to space. The series begins with the apocalypse. Furthermore, Rothenberg wants to explore the story behind the earth people who survived the nuclear apocalypse. The nuclear apocalypse wiped out almost all the human population.
The plot follows the group of grounders who survived the apocalypse and learn to cope up with what is left in their world. Moreover, the band of survivors fights to create a better place despite the destruction.
Rothenberg will not be alone in producing The 100 prequel but will work with EP Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment. Furthermore, The 100 prequel will also bring the big names of the industry, Warner Bros. TV and CBS Television Studios to co-produce the series.
Arrow spinoff details
The action TV series ended last January and ran for eight seasons. However, CW planted a spinoff episode in January which starred Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy, and Juliana Harkavy. The spinoff episode was titled, “Green Arrow and the Canaries”.

What to expect from The 100 prequel and Arrow spinoff
There is nothing final for the two series, however, CW is hinting the possibility of the spinoffs. Furthermore, CW will have to wait for the conclusion of The 100 season 7.
While The 100 prequel is still being developed, The 100 season 7 will premiere this month on CW. The 100 season 7 will be the final season of the post-apocalyptic series. Meanwhile, fans can catch a glimpse of series in the recently released trailer.
