Sony is expected to release the PlayStation 5 by the end of this year, and gamers couldn’t be more ecstatic. The console is just the start, as the PS5 games are the true star of the next generation.
Once the next generation of gaming arrives, fans are expecting a new depth to the experience when it comes to video games. Just what titles should fans anticipate in the next generation? Here are the top confirmed PS5 games so far.
‘Godfall’
Not much is known about this PS5 exclusive, but many have dubbed Godfall as Destiny with a more in-depth focus on melee combat. In the game, players will battle through different realms, each with its own locale and unique enemies.
Each time players venture into a new area, they have to prepare their loadout for specific needs. Melee combat is the primary focus of the game, but players should be hooked to the loot mechanics that will reward players with fantastic melee weapons for beating powerful foes.
‘Gods And Monsters’
Gods and Monsters is an upcoming title from Ubisoft, which was initially revealed to be an Xbox exclusive. However, Ubisoft has since stated that the game will also be one of the early PS5 games out there.
Not much is known of Gods and Monsters, but many consider it as Ubisoft’s answer to Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. From a vast open world to battling large enemies, this game is expected to be an epic adventure in a mysterious land.
‘Dying Light 2’
Techland’s follow-up to the 2015 zombie hit is being made with the next generation of consoles in mind. Once this game launches, fans of the original Dying Light will be met with better melee combat and parkour mechanics.
From the gameplay trailer, it feels as if the game will be more intense this time around. Much like in the first game, players will find it easier to fight the undead during the day, but they’ll be very vulnerable once night comes.
‘Watchdogs: Legion’
Ubisoft’s Watchdogs: Legion was supposed to launch in March of this year, but it has since been delayed to 2021. It could launch earlier, but considering how it will be caught in the release of the PS5, it’s likely that the developers will choose to have it launched on the next generation instead.
Watchdogs: Legion is an entirely different take on the franchise. Instead of one character, players will be playing as many characters as part of a secret organization. Each of the characters comes with their own unique abilities.
These PS5 games are set to welcome the next generation of gaming with flare. From the look of things, it seems like 2020 will be an excellent year for gaming already.
