The historical drama, The Crown season 4 has just released the design of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Moreover, the fourth installment will be the first season to feature the life of Princess Diana.
The highly acclaimed TV series tells the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times. The young Elizabeth, played by Claire Foy, ascended the throne at 25 years old after the death of her father, King George VI. As the story progresses, Elizabeth’s life of romance, political rivalries, and personal ambitions have been laid into the open. Now, The Crown season 4 will also feature the life of Princess Diana and Margaret Thatcher.
First look at Princess Diana’s wedding dress
The iconic dress designed by Amy Roberts is not the replica, but rather similar imagery of the original one. Furthermore, Roberts’ work serves as a tribute to the late princess’s wedding dress.

The released photo was shared on the official Twitter account of the series, capturing actress Emma Corrin. Furthermore, Corrin, who plays the late princess, was shot wearing the dress and the veil inside the show’s version of Buckingham Palace. The post stated:
“A first glimpse of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Emmy award-winning costume designer Amy Roberts wanted to capture the same spirit and style of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original design, without creating a replica for Emma Corrin.”
What to expect from “The Crown” season 4
The story will transition to the life of Princess Diana as he joins the Royal family when she weds Princess Charles. On the other hand, it will also feature Britain’s Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. Thus, with two of Britains’ popular figures, the series will once capture the royal family’s political affairs.

Margaret Thatcher, popularly known as the Iron Lady, will rock the Royal Monarchy with controversial policies. Played by X-Files star, Gillian Anderson, the actress shares her excitement on playing the role. She said:
“I am so excited to be joining the cast and crew of The Crown and to have the opportunity to portray such a complicated and controversial woman.”
She further stated:
“Thatcher was undoubtedly formidable but I am relishing exploring beneath the surface, and dare I say, falling in love with the icon, who whether loved or despised, defined an era.”
Season 4 release date
The Crown season 4 will arrive on Netflix next month, Nov. 15. Meanwhile, season 5 will start filming in June 2021. The sixth and final season will begin filming in 2022.
