The first character additions and key art for Super Crooks‘ big Netflix premiere have been announced!
Company Bones, the production studio behind anime blockbusters like My Hero Academia, Mob Psycho 100, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and more, is adapting Mark Millar and Leinel Yu’s original Icon Comics series into an official anime adaptation.
One of the most intriguing statements was to come out of Netflix’s new production agreement with Millar. We finally looked at this new project much closer after seeing the first teaser image showcasing how the characters transferred to anime earlier this year.
Netflix unveiled the most comprehensive look of Super Crooks
During the TUDUM Global Fan Event, Netflix unveiled the most comprehensive look at the Super Crooks anime yet, which included not only the premiere of the first teaser trailer for the series (confirming its release on Netflix this Fall) but also the first two additions to the Japanese voice cast.
Bolt will be played by Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!), and Kasey will be played by Maaya Sakamoto (Merlin from The Seven Deadly Sins).
Super Crooks, directed by Motonobu Hori, will premiere on Netflix globally on November 25th and consist of 13 episodes.

Icon Comics
Mark Millar and Leinil Yu’s original Super Crooks comic series is described as follows by Icon Comics: “One another robbery. Isn’t that what everyone says? Everyone can retire and take up fishing with only one final score.
The problem is that the prisons are brimming with supervillains who believed the same idea and were apprehended. The Heat, on the other hand, is in a pickle. He’s racked up a gambling debt that, if he can’t pay it off in cash, will have to be paid in blood.
Nobody wants to see the world’s most popular supercriminal wiped off by the mob, even his greatest supporter, Johnny Bolt. And Johnny’s devised a scheme to aid the Heat while also enriching all of his pals.
Unfortunately for Johnny’s trainees, they must go to Spain and blindly rob the world’s most infamous supervillain. And here is when things become complicated.”
