This year’s award show is going to be the longest in its history so far. Because earlier in 2020, the crucial E3 event was canceled. So for many new games, Thursday night will be vital to make the gamers aware of them.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many renowned publishers refrained from sharing their new titles via digital conference. They just wanted a platform like The Game Awards that attracts millions of viewers. Thus, it makes sense that the show will be longer than expected in terms of duration.
Apart from new video games’ world-premiere trailers, the actual event will see global entertainment stars. Captain Marvel, aka Brie Larson, and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, will make their appearances as presenters. Along with them, Tenet actor John David Washington will also present the awards. The official Twitter account of the event recently revealed the news in the last three days.
The Game Awards 2020 potential winners
Meanwhile, all the eyes are on the nominees of the biggest gaming event of the year. Last month, the official list of all selected titles was revealed. And looking at it, The Last of Us Part 2 seems to lead in most categories.
The Naughty Dog release leads the list for important titles like Game of the Year, Best Narrative, and Best Direction!
However, another highly acclaimed launch of 2020, Ghost of Tsushima, is competing against the sequel to 2013’s The Last of Us. Other potential winners in the race are Hades and Final Fantasy VII Remake, among the rest.
For now, the fans can vote and wait for the ultimate day of December tenth, when the eventual winner be announced in The Game Awards 2020. Hold on to your anticipation and excitement for one more day.
