The Last O.G. recently aired its season 3 finale episode and now fans are watching out for updates for the fourth season. Is the show being renewed?
The Last O.G. closed its third season on Tuesday, June 9. And while it ended as originally planned, its followers are looking for answers regarding its future.
The series is a comedy show created by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri. It first premiered on March 31, 2018 and it follows the life of ex-convict Tray Barker.
Tray, who is portrayed by Tracy Morgan, is released from prison after displaying good behavior. He returns to his neighborhood after 15 years and finds it to be very different from before.
He also finds his ex-girlfriend Shannon (Tiffany Haddish) now married to another man named Josh (Ryan Gaul), who is also raising his twin children Amira (Taylor Christian Mosby) and Shahzad (Dante Hoagland).
Tray wants to have another shot in life and decides to become a better man and father with the help of Mullins (Cedric the Entertainer) and his cousin Bobby Barker (Allen Maldonado)
Is TBS in the works of renewing the sitcom?
As of the moment, TBS has still not made any announcement regarding the renewal of the sitcom.
This is different from the latest season which was given a 10-episode order a month before season 2 ended.
Some of the fans are already worried about the future of the succeeding season but until TBS makes cancellation news, the show is still on.
There is still hope
According to reports, TBS only has three original scripted shows that are not canceled. This could mean that the network will hold on to the Morgan and Haddish-led series.
And despite the decline in the viewership of The Last O.G., it’s noted to be doing better than their other show, American Dad, which has already been renewed.
