Recently posted as part of PlayStation Network’s library of digital games, important information reveals at how big The Last of Us Part II’s file size is.
According to the listing, the PlayStation 4-exclusive title by Naughty Dog is going to be 100 Gigabytes in memory space requirement.
The Biggest PlayStation 4 Exclusive Title
At that size, this makes the sequel to Naughty Dog’s action-adventure brainchild the largest PS4-exclusive title to date. As per GamesRadar, The Last of Us Part II managed to surpass Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Spider-Man in terms of file size.
Upon closer inspection into the listing, the description claims that consumers who pick up a physical copy of the game will receive a box that contains two discs in it.
Historically, receiving a 2-disc game is nothing new, especially for the PlayStation 4 console. Not very long ago, Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 released the game on the console in two discs. More recently as well, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake followed suit with its similar release.
Looking into those games, it is certain that the two Blu-Ray discs come with a special and similar purpose. The first disc used to install the game and the other for actually playing.
For a game that was measured to be 100 Gigabytes in file size as a digital download, the idea of a 2-disc physical copy should not surprise.
