The number one seed Lakers have taken their sweet revenge with a 111 – 88 landslide victory over the Blazers.
Anthony Davis showed up in today’s game with a dominating performance of 31 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James had 10 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds in a must-win Game 2.
As for the Portland Trail Blazers, the explosive duo of Lillard and McCollum that fans were expecting only combined 31 points, which are equal to the 31-point performance of AD, also, the duo only combined 12 out of 30 shots in the field.
The supporting is cast stepping up
It looks like Danny Green hasn’t found his shooting rhythm yet in this series for he only had one three-pointer the entire game. However, he contributed to the Lakers’ defense putting up 4 steals.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope sparked pressure to the Blazers early on by drilling a couple of three-pointers with the great playmaking skills of LeBron James. As a result, he shot 4 out of 6 from the three-point line.

In a post-game interview, LeBron James praised KCP as well as his other teammates for getting the job done in securing a win over the eighth seed Blazers.
Aside from the 16-point performance from KCP, J.R. Smith and JaVale McGee also had a good game contributing 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
Lillard dislocates finger but will play in Game 3
In the closing minutes of the third quarter, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard dislocated his left index finger after attempting a steal on Anthony Davis. He did not return to the game after that unfortunate incident.
However, good news followed that his X-ray results recorded negative, which got Blazers fans relieved.
Re: Lillard: A negative X-ray is a major win & no indication the bone broke the skin. I’ve recorded over 100 closed finger dislocations in the NBA since 2005-06 & the average missed time is less than one game. Hopefully Dame continues the trend.

Hopefully, Damian Lillard and the rest of the Blazers could bounce back in Game 3 to give the Lakers an interesting playoff series for fans to look forward to in the NBA bubble.
