There is big news for all the lovers of the Call of Duty gaming franchise. Activision will soon reveal a new game in the series in Q4 of 2021!
According to Engadget, the new Call of Duty game is coming soon, around the fourth quarter of 2021. Activision just confirmed the plans regarding the next big installment in the iconic blockbuster gaming series. While fans are already busy with 2020’s Black Ops Cold War and Warzone titles, they will now surely wait anxiously for the next entry as well!
“Call of Duty”: A continually growing legacy!
In a recent reveal, Activision‘s chief financial officer, Dennis Durkin, shared a brand new COD installment news.
“We will benefit from a full year of Warzone driving upgrades to our premium content and incremental in-game player investment, and we have a substantial opportunity to continue migrating the community to Black Ops Cold War as well as another strong premium release planned for Q4 in 2021.”
However, he also mentioned that they are “conservatively assuming” Call of Duty premium units to be lower year-over-year. But he added that due to the growth of COD Mobile in China, they expect an increase in net bookings for the overall franchise.
But one thing is confirmed: a new Call of Duty “AAA” title is arriving sooner than later! Along with PC, it will be released on many other consoles as well.
Upcoming video games in 2021
Meanwhile, there’s not just Activision preparing for a new game in the new year. There are too many big titles scheduled to arrive later this year. 2020 proved to be fantastic with The Last of Us 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. On the other hand, 2021 will also bring a lot of heavyweights.
While Hitman 3 and The Medium are already out, it’s just the beginning of a long gaming season. Several top and upcoming games include Resident Evil Village, Far Cry 6, Halo Infinite, and Horizon Forbidden West. Then there’s also the next part in the God of War franchise. Ragnarok will launch soon upon an official date reveal. Death loop, Dying Light 2, Back 4 Blood, Gotham Knights, and Returnal are other big launches.
Then there is the Mass Effect Legendary edition, Little Nightmares 2, Monster Hunter Rise, and GhostWire: Tokyo. The list gets extended further with Balan Wonderworld, Psychonauts 2, Bravely Default 2, Gran Turismo 7, and Stray. But that’s not all!
Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Riders Republic, Cyber Shadow, Humankind, It Takes Two, Solar Ash, The Day Before, and Glitchpunk are among other future titles.
Coming back to the next part in the Call of Duty series, there’s no official announcement over a date yet.
