Insomniac Games has a lot of plans for the original Spider-Man which includes an amazing remaster. Of course, not every player is happy with the changes in the Spider-Man Remaster.
Insomniac Games revealed that they are going to release a Spider-Man Remaster for the PlayStation 5. Fans are actually happy about the noticeable changes, but there are a few pros and cons to it. Here’s the good and the bad that fans are seeing in the upcoming remastered PlayStation 4 gem.
The most noticeable change is the way the game looks. Aside from better lighting and the addition of ray-tracing, the game involves a lot of other visual and performance upgrades. All these combined make the already immersive experience even better as players have said, playing as Spider-Man has never looked better.
Since the game is being remastered for the PlayStation 5, players are suggesting that Insomniac Games will add new features to accommodate the DualSense controllers. The DualSense controllers amp the gaming experience by adding haptic feedback and other new technologies.
Seeing how the controller will react to Spider-Man’s movements in the game will help create a new experience. Those that have yet to play the original game should grab this game as there’s a lot of new things to it.
If there’s one bad thing about the Spider-Man Remaster, it’s that the actor for Peter Parker has been changed. Insomniac Games’ Bryan Intihar notes that the casting change was necessary to create more realism in the game. However, fans still aren’t happy with it.

The biggest change with regards to the casting is that Peter Parker looks a lot younger. Some fans have commented that he looks to be the same age as Mile Morales. In the story, however, Peter is already a grizzled veteran and protector of New York.
The casting choice does show off the power of the next-gen. However, it comes at the expense of making the narrative feel a bit different. The story will most likely be the same in the sequel. At this point, it’s unlikely that the developers will revert to the old actor.
The Spider-Man Remaster is impressive in terms of performance and visuals. However, the change of model for Peter Parker isn’t obviously sitting well with fans. While it’s still going to be the same experience, fans would obviously prefer the original Peter Parker more.
