Meliodas and his fight with his father, the Demon King, will continue in The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 17.
The archangel, however, has to be extra cautious, knowing the enemy is using his brother’s body as his vessel. So, how can Meliodas defeat the Demon King in The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 17 without hurting Zeldris?
The continuation of the father and son fight
The anime is getting pretty intense as it will soon come to a close. The fight between the father and son may be the final battle fans are about to see, and it will surely be fierier.
Meliodas decides to face his father alone without the help of other The Seven Deadly Sins members, Epic Dope noted.
The Demon King holds his brother’s body and uses it against him, so he must be mindful of his moves.
However, he is having a hard time bringing his father down. So, he may get the help of his comrades in The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 17.
Sure, their group has been disbanded, but they may gather altogether to defeat the Demon King.
Escanor may also likely join the Sins in this fight. From here, they may be able to save Zeldris.
There are also theories that Meliodas will travel inside his father’s soul to retrieve his brother.

Episode 16 recap
In The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 16, the battle between Meliodas and the Demon King began.
The latter used Zeldris’ body as his vessel to face his son. He even took Elizabeth as a hostage and mocked Meliodas for bringing her to him.
Elizabeth just laughed and told the Demon King she was there to help Meliodas defeat him. She then launched Manipulate and Burst attacks, per The Cinemaholic.
This move caused a huge explosion that injured the villain. Meliodas then mocked him back, saying there was a reason why the demons called Elizabeth “Bloody Ellie” during the war.
The rest of the Sins members, alternatively, fought Indura—except for Escanor. The demon then gave birth to thousands of its kinds that would spread terror all over Brittania.
Thankfully, Ban used the sacred treasure to destroy almost its entire offspring. However, one survived, and it went to Liones, where the Holy Knights could not beat it.
Escanor then arrived and saved them. Mael then came down to Earth to destroy the one remaining spawn.
He also heeded Escanor’s request and ended his Sunshine for the last time.
Back to Meliodas, he tried to reach for his brother, but the Demon King transformed into a young warrior version of himself.
The episode then ended with the Sins ready to help Meliodas, excluding Escanor.
The fight will continue when The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 17 drops on Wednesday, May 5.
