The highly popular life simulation game, The Sims 4 will soon be getting a new DLC. The next expansion will feature the iconic Star Wars series.

Throughout the years, more players have flocked towards playing the game. Currently, there are more than 30 million active players, and the number is not slowing down. Meanwhile, the developers recently promised to improve the game’s character customization after fans demand more dark skin tones. The fans requested for a better representation of the darker skin colors.

The Sims 4 new DLC will allow players to travel to Star Wars-inspired destination. Releasing for $19.99, Simmers can go to the Black Spire Outpost on the remote planet of Batuu. Moreover, the DLC will also feature familiar faces from the Star Wars universe. Famous characters such as Kylo Ren and Rey Skywalker will be present.

In the trailer, the Sim is being transported to Batuu and befriends the people there. Unfortunately, the planet of Batuu is only a travel destination, since it’s only designed for visits. However, players are provided with places to accommodate a Sim’s basic needs.
Executive producer Lyndsay Pearson shared her thoughts on what to expect in the new DLC. She said:
“The Sims has always been about letting players tell their own stories and explore a lot of different aspects. That feels very complementary to the way that we were approaching ‘Journey to Batuu,’ which is: ‘What is your story in this universe? How do you want to be a part of this?'”
Players can customize their Sim in the new DLC
The new DLC also allows Simmers to choose from the three factions, The Resistance, the First Order, or the rebels. Pearson also explained that the players would be treated differently when trying to socialize with the other players in the game. She said:
“If you spend a lot of time with the rebels and you’re working on missions for them and socializing with them, then if you try and go hang out with the First Order, they’re not going to respond to you.” “They’re going to lock you out of certain things and certain interactions because you’re not their friend. You’re the enemy.”
Just like in the Star Wars universe, players can build lightsabers, engage in lightsaber fighting, and even build droids. Moreover, the lightsaber, as well as the droids, can be carried back into the Sim’s home.
