The Walking Dead Season 10’s production already ended last year, but AMC has yet to drop its final episode. As the awaiting fans are now casting their theories, will Beta (Ryan Hurst) die in the much-awaited finale?
The COVID-19 pandemic also affected The Walking Dead Season 10 finale, as it was pulled out from the series. Hence, viewers are still in the waiting game to see the war between the survivors and the Whisperer. As fans are now wondering what will happen next, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, has something to say.
The fate of Beta
In an interview with EW Live, the 54-year-old actor revealed what fans could expect from the season finale. Indeed, there would be a war. Negan would redeem himself after killing Alpha (Samantha Moron) by helping the survivors at Alexandria.
With the leader of the Whisperers’ death, its followers will turn to the group’s second-in-command, Beta. But, will he die?
“I think, obviously, things are going to come to some sort of a head with the Beta and his character,” Morgan revealed. “There has to be some sort of resolution.”
“Whether that carries over to next season – I’ll leave that open, because who knows,” he added. “But we know he’s coming to wipe everybody out with his zombie horde, so hopefully, we’ll see that come to a head at some point.”
Morgan continued that as The Walking Dead Season 10 finale was a Greg Nicotero-directed episode, there would be a great battle. “It’s going to be a big massive episode for sure,” he teased.
So, when fans will see the final episode? He suggested it could be after four to five months.
The final episode’s release
Nicotero himself explained why fans had yet to see The Walking Dead Season 10 finale. “When you’re in post-production, it kind of goes like this, you have to edit the episode,” he described.
They have to do the sound effects, music, visual effects, and color timing to make sure that everything matches. After that, the post-production team will have to do a quality check to ensure there will be no mess up. These happen three weeks before the episode airs.
As The Walking Dead Season 10 finale is set to be out on April 12, the post-production process should end on March 22. However, at the time, things started to slow down due to the stay-at-home work order brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sadly, Nicotero revealed they had to shut down before they managed to hit the date. Anyhow, he teased that The Walking Dead Season 10 finale would be a fantastic episode, and fans should wait for it.
