Netflix is gradually revealing details from The Witcher 2. On Wednesday, it showed the first look of Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.
The exclusive set photos were shared from the official Twitter account of The Witcher.
In the last few days, Netflix released the looks of Geralt of Rivia and Ciri. And closing in on that series, now it’s Yennefer of Vengerberg.
The latest photos from the show makers reveal a broken and chained Yennefer.
The tweet, while sharing her character look, reads:
“She used her full might, and the battlefield burned. Then she vanished from sight, But Yen will return.”
It will be interesting to see what fate has in store for her in the upcoming season.

In the last outing, everyone saw Anya’s character getting vanished to nowhere. It happened when she defeated the Nilfgaardian soldiers, unleashing an inferno. It was the battle of Sodden.
But right now, there’s no clue about how she will return in the second season.
Plus, the exclusive new photos show her in chains. It is hard to tell what’s going to happen next in this journey.
“The Witcher season 2” plot details, cast, and release
As per recent reports, it’s been suggested that Andrzej Sapkowski’s Blood of Elves’ storyline will be adapted.
This plot also mentions the Battle of Sodden Hill that resulted in Nilfgaard’s defeat. And it left many dead or badly injured.
It also led to the death of 14 of the 22 mages that joined the war.
Talking about the cast, then Henry Cavill will come back as Geralt with Freya Allan. She will reprise her role as Princess Cirilla, aka Ciri. And of course, Anya Chalotra is also with them.
New cast members include Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.
Other actors are Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, and Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, and Paul Bullion as Lambert. And supporting them are Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen and Mecia Simson as Francesca.
The release date of The Witcher season 2 is not confirmed yet.
The simple reason is that production work is still in progress. Only after the completed shooting, any news will be disclosed officially.
Although it’s still great to see new reveals gradually from Netflix about the second season.
While Geralt is getting new armor, Ciri’s training with a wooden blade and Yennefer makes everyone curious about her return.
There’s so much more to decode as of now. The Witcher 2 is going to be magically adventurous and exciting.
