Henry Cavill will continue his work on The Witcher season 2. However, reports revealed that the actor will still return to reprise his role in Man of Steel 2.
Henry Cavill will be working on the production of The Witcher season 2 for the rest of 2020. Once he finishes filming on the Netflix show, he will reportedly shift his focus on Man of Steel 2.
Cavill plays monster-hunter Geralt of Rivia in the fantasy drama. The series is an adaptation of the first two books of the novel series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski
The Witcher became an unexpected hit for Netflix last year. According to the streamer, a total of 76 million households watched the show’s first season on the platform. This marked the highest first-month viewership of a debut season on the streaming service.
What will happen in The Witcher season 2
Not much is known about the second season of The Witcher. The show was in the middle of production for season two when the coronavirus crisis hit Europe. After that, Netflix ordered the producers to shut down filming until further notice.
The first season of The Witcher concluded with Gerald and Ciri finally meeting and hugging each other. It is highly possible that the second season will adapt the next two books in Sapkowski’s series.

Henry Cavill still hoping to return for Man of Steel 2
Despite the shakeup at Warner Bros. Pictures, Henry Cavill has refused to let go of his Superman character. In an interview last year, Cavill said he will fight for the role if he needs to.
The cape is in the closet. It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet.
Warner Bros. Pictures has not officially confirmed its plans for the DC Extended Universe movies, including Man of Steel 2. On the other hand, The Witcher season 2 will reportedly start streaming on Netflix either later this year or early next year.
