BTS’s ‘Butter,’ plagiarized?
Konami released Monster in My Pocket for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1992. It follows the basic plot of the same-named comic series and features the majority of the monster characters.
Konami is a Japanese entertainment company known for its video game franchises. In Japan, it is also a well-known name. TwinBee and Metal Gear, as well as Yu-Gi-Oh! Ganbare Goemon, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Castlevania are among them.
An anonymous user posted in an online community a YouTube link to the Monster in My Pocket background music.
In the comments section, netizens had a mixed reaction to the topic. Some netizens pointed out that the background music Butter and Monster in My Pocket sound the same.
Other commentators claimed that not only was the intro to Monster in My Pocket being used, but also BTS’s song Butter.
Others speculated that if Butter was indeed plagiarized from the Japanese videogame’s BGM, Konami would have sued HYBE for plagiarism months ago.
Furthermore, some users claimed that it was an interpolation rather than plagiarism. This is where you personalize the notes by re-recording them in your own style.
