The purported RAM and battery specifications of the new iPhone have now been revealed. Almost a day after the latest iPhone was announced, the aforementioned features have finally surfaced in the wild, courtesy of a listing from a Chinese Telecom spec sheet.
China Telecom’s listing claims that the new iPhone SE sports 3GB of RAM. In comparison, the iPhone 11 series features 4GB of RAM, which indicates that Apple has put less memory in the new iPhone. This inclusion is to be expected as it matches the lower requirement of its single-lens camera and other hardware features.
In terms of battery, the listing revealed that the new iPhone SE boasts 1,821mAh battery capacity. Note that this is the same battery as the iPhone 8. The phone also supports 18W fast charging and Qi wireless charging.
Apple also claimed that the 2020 iPhone SE could last up to 13 hours of video playback and up to eight hours of video streaming right on a single charge. The iPhone 11’s battery, on the other hand, offers up to 17 hours of video playback and up to 10 hours of streaming.
The new iPhone SE features a 4.7-inch Retina IPS LCD display with a resolution of 750 x 1,334 pixels. These are the same configurations of the 2017’s iPhone 8. Apart from these, the 2020 iPhone SE has also inherited the 2014-style bezels and the Touch ID home button.
The new iPhone SE’s display also supports wide color gamut, True Tone display, and 625 nits of maximum brightness. Additionally, the phone is made of ion-strengthened glass and oleophobic coating.
Powering the 2020 iPhone SE is Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, the same SoC that powers the iPhone 11 series. Alongside the 3GB RAM offering, the phone also comes with 64GB/128GB/256GB of NVMe internal storage options.
Apple went traditionally with the new iPhone SE’s camera features. On its rear, the phone sports a single 12MP wide camera and a 7MP front-facing sensor. These are the same lenses the iPhone XR was launched with.
China Telecom is set to retail the new iPhone SE in three color variants – White, Black, and Product Red. Prices for the phone will begin from CNY 3,299 up to CNY 4,599
