Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers launched a few days back, and fans are enjoying the game so far. There are a lot of good sides to the game, but there are a few issues about it as well.
For the most part, Marvel’s Avengers is a well-received game. Fans have praised the game’s surprisingly good story and amazing visuals. Of course, there are some issues that fans want to be addressed to make the experience generally better. Here’s what the developers should fix immediately.
Performance upgrades
The game undoubtedly looks great. Some have even commented that it’s the most visually impressive game to date. Of course, that also means that the game is demanding to run. As expected, there are numerous frame rate drops. These can be felt even more during parts of the game where there are many explosions.
Crystal Dynamics should fix this issue ASAP as it is completely ruining the game’s otherwise amazing visual offering.
Combat
At this point, it may be impossible for Crystal Dynamics to provide the game’s combat system the overhaul that it needs. Marvel’s Avengers features a pretty straight forward combo system. Eventually, players get tired of having to mash the same buttons over and over again.
It might be a big undertaking, but Crystal Dynamics should find a means to improve the combat in the game. Simple things such as more complicated combos will not only make the game more exciting. It can also offer a more challenging experience. However, it might take a lot of time before the developers can implement this.
Skin previews
The game prides itself on giving players access to countless skins for their favorite heroes. Oddly enough, there’s no means to preview a skin before players buy it. Upon going to the shop, players can see an icon regarding the skin but seeing it up close is impossible.
It’s a weird design flaw that Crystal Dynamics can sort out with a simple patch. In other games with skins, this is an easy feature to have. Oddly enough, Crystal Dynamics doesn’t seem to want its players to see the skins before they make a purchase.
Marvel’s Avengers is now out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will have a lineup of free DLC coming to it, the first of which is Hawkeye. Other confirmed characters are Kate Bishop and Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4.
